Sa'adiya Meelad Campaign 2026: Grand Moulid Ushers in a Month of Spiritual Reflection at Deli Campus

07 Sep 2026
Deli: Setting the tone for a month-long series of devotional gatherings, the first Grand Moulid of the Sa'adiya Meelad Campaign 2026 was held with great fervour at the newly inaugurated Grand Mosque of Jamia Sa'adiya, offering thousands of believers an evening of profound spiritual experience. Organised under the evocative theme "Khalbilundu Ente Nabi" (My Prophet Lives in My Heart), the campaign is being observed across the sprawling Jamia Sa'adiya campus with a rich schedule of religious programmes, sermons, and community gatherings dedicated to the remembrance and glorification of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

The inaugural Moulid session, held in the majestic surroundings of the recently rebuilt 'Jami'u Habib Usman' Grand Mosque, stretched over several hours and reverberated with soul-stirring recitations of na'ats, salawat, and traditional praises of the Prophet. The atmosphere within the mosque, filled to capacity with devotees drawn from across the region, was described by many attendees as deeply moving and spiritually elevating — a fitting inauguration for what organisers hope will be one of the most memorable Meelad observances in the institution's history.

The programme began with a special prayer led by Sayyid Zainul Abideen Ahdal Kannavam, who invoked divine blessings upon the gathering, the institution, and the wider community. A.P. Abdulla Musliyar Manikoth formally inaugurated the Moulid session, in his address underscoring the significance of remembering the Prophet's life, character, and teachings — not merely as a ritual observance but as a means of inner transformation and moral renewal. He called upon the faithful to make the Meelad Campaign an occasion for deepening their spiritual connection with the Prophet and translating his message of compassion, justice, and service into everyday life.

The Moulid proceedings were led by Muhammad Salih Sa'adi, whose recitations set the devotional tone for the evening.

Delivering thought-provoking speeches during the session, K.P. Hussain Sa'adi (KC Road) and Abdul Gaffar Sa'adi Randathani reflected on the enduring relevance of the Prophet's message in contemporary times. They emphasised that the true spirit of Meelad lies not only in celebration but in emulation — in following the Prophet's example of mercy, patience, humility, and unwavering commitment to truth. The speakers urged the audience, particularly the youth, to engage meaningfully with the Prophet's life and to embody his teachings in their conduct at home, in society, and in professional life.

The gathering witnessed the participation of a distinguished assembly of scholars, teachers, and community leaders, including K.K. Hussain Baqavi, Kuttasseri Abdulla Baqavi, Ali Askar Baqavi, Pallankod Abdul Khadir Madani, Ishaq Faizi, Abdul Latheef Sa'adi Kottila, Ismail Sa'adi Parappalli, Noor Muhammad Haji Qatar, Mahmood Haji Umm Al Quwain, Ashfaq Misbahi, Sayyid Jafar Sadiq Sa'adi Manikoth, Abdul Kareem Sa'adi Eniyadi, Thuvvool Abdul Rahman Sa'adi, Ibrahim Sa'adi Vittal, Sharif Sa'adi Mavilatam, Sharafuddin Sa'adi, Hafiz Ahmad Sa'adi Cheroor, M.T.P. Abdulla Moulavi, Abdul Razak Haji Melparamb, Abdul Khadir Haji Chattanchal, Saifuddin Sa'adi, and Muhyiddin Panera, among many others.

Their presence lent added prestige to the occasion and reflected the wide network of scholarly and spiritual affiliations that Jamia Sa'adiya has built over the decades.

Chiyyoor Abdulla Sa'adi delivered the welcome address, extending a warm reception to the scholars, dignitaries, and devotees who had assembled from various parts of Kerala, Karnataka, and beyond.

As the campaign progresses through the coming weeks, Jamia Sa'adiya is set to host a series of Moulid gatherings, lectures, competitions, and community outreach programmes, all designed to keep the memory and message of Prophet Muhammad alive in the hearts of the faithful. Campaign organisers noted that the Meelad Campaign 2026 aims not only to celebrate the Prophet's birth but to inspire a lasting spiritual awakening across generations — one rooted in love, learning, and living by the Prophetic example.

The successful conduct of the first Grand Moulid, held in the resplendent ambience of the Grand Mosque, has set a promising tone for what promises to be a spiritually enriching month at Jamia Sa'adiya.
